The project revolves around one scientific paper which is discussing baseline shifts in the marine environment. The paper touches on topics including biodiversity, natural climatic variability, kelp forests, overfishing and many more. This will give artists and scientists opportunities to focus and discuss a wide variety of aspects relating to changes in the marine environment.
By engaging with the different viewpoints of artists and scientists, we are hoping that this paper will initiate thinking, discussion and working across boundaries towards transdisciplinarity.
Throughout the process artist and scientists are also encouraged to engage with other journal articles, media responses to marine conservation issues and their own experiences. The paper will be made available before the first workshop.
